The first matches of my southampton save are now complete and I can finally talk about them.
In this post I will talk about:
Transfers
Pre-Season Friendlies and the Saints trophy
August League and Cup fixtures
Next months predictions
I’m really positive about the season after these signings and sales. I’m going to talk through each part of the pitch.
Goalkeeper:
McGregor was signed to be main keeper, which is awesome on a free and with Man. Utd offering a contract. Ricardo was signed as a second back up alongside davis, after Gazzaniga was sold.
Defence:
Robinson is now my lead left back, Williams and Shittu lead form centre back with craddock as back up. out went Richardson, Seaborne, Butterfield, hooiveld and dickson to free up room for better players.
Midfield:
Definately much improved. Frimpong on loan, Scharner and Albrighton (again on loan) are cover for my main trio in midfield of Hitzlsperger, Reo-Coker and Davis, although Albrighton fits into my back up tactics of 4-5-1 with two attacking wingers. Out went Hammond, Chaplow, Scheinderlin, Puncheon, De Ridder and Lallana to free up room. Shame to see Schneiderlin go but I needed room for new players and Lallana was to free up budget so not to be in debt real soon because before loan wage budget was -£23 know its + £9. 29 k.
Strikers:
Out went unwanted Do Prado and Forte, To be replaced by Three solid quality veterans and one youngster with high potential. Thy is the youngster (at 19), while Saha and Del Pierro are real high quality signings. But the most expensive of all of my transfers is new record signing Ola Toivonen, £10 million from PSV. A little bit much but with Napoli Sniffing around and Demba Ba not wanting to sign alongside Him, I signed the player I wanted as soon as i found out about my £21. 21 million transfer budget.
An Impressive pre-season with 13 scored and none conceded shows my 4-3-3 tactics plus good solid signings have done wonders on the team. I am especially pleased with wins against both Cruzeiro and Standard Liege in the Saint’s Trophy (My custom made tournament featuring also Cambridge). We where First, Standard second and suprisingly it was cambridge finishing third winning 2-0 against cruzeiro.
Big games against Man. Utd and Newcastle and also relegation candidates Aston Villa, and Championship outfit Sheff. Wed.
Predictions: LDWD
A fabulous win over arguably the best team in Current English history. Goals for star man toivonen, Sharp and Reo-Coker gave us a win even with the first conceded goal of my reign by Rooney.
Another good result against europa league side newcastle. Tiote’s red card meant we should and could of won thanks to debut boy saha but an ameobi penalty rescued the magpies a point.
My first defeat and against Lower league opposition
. Former player Puncheon helped them to victory AARGH!
A massive tie for round 3. League champs vs euro champs, should be interesting
Did Hutton’s red card help? I possibly think it helped us in staying in front. Rodriguez scores his third in two and earns his second straight MOM award.
An amazing start to the season!!! 2 wins and a draw in the league. although we are out of the capital one cup we still have a high league placing.
Yes!!! Third place. Considering we where predicted to finish 19th, this is positive.
Manager of the Month: surely I should be there somewhere. considering our sides low expectation but great start…

Not even third. oh well, I know our side is going to be at least acheiving my goals for the season.
At least someone got something in the monthly awards. Nigel got second for his goal against man. utd.
September and October fixtures:

With some hard and easy fixtures in their my predictions are: WDWWLDL.
Will I be right?
